About the Journal
SYNAG Journal for Basic Education STEAM Research is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary academic journal dedicated to publishing research conducted by basic education students and teachers, with a primary focus on the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). The journal provides a scholarly platform where young researchers can communicate original findings, experimental investigations, and innovative ideas that contribute to scientific learning and technological advancement.
Guided by the educational philosophy of St. John Bosco, SYNAG embraces the Salesian Preventive System, particularly its foundational principles of Reason, Religion, and Loving-Kindness. These principles shape the journal’s vision of research and innovation. Reason reflects the commitment to rigorous scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and evidence-based problem solving in STEAM disciplines. Religion emphasizes ethical responsibility, integrity in research, and the recognition that scientific progress should ultimately serve the dignity of the human person and the common good. Loving-Kindness highlights the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and the use of scientific knowledge to create compassionate and socially responsive solutions for communities.
SYNAG welcomes original research articles, experimental studies, engineering or technological prototypes, data-driven investigations, and interdisciplinary STEAM projects developed by student researchers. The journal particularly encourages research that addresses real-world challenges, including environmental sustainability, health and food systems, educational innovation, and socially responsible technological development.
